Youth in Philanthropy (YIP)
From where will the next generation of [New Jersey] philanthropists and ethical fundraisers come? The obvious answer is from the
youth of our community. The [New Jersey Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP-NJ Chapter)] is committed to
the development of the next generation by exposing young people to philanthropy and fundraising in a meaningful way.
To that end the [AFP-NJ Chapter] offers a teaching program and a career based program designed to promote and encourage the
involvement of high school students in philanthropy and the profession of ethical fundraising.

Career-Based Program
Careers in Fundraising presents fundraising as a career option to high school juniors and seniors. Developed specifically for AFP
chapters, Careers in Fundraising is designed to engage high school students in exploring the exciting and rewarding profession of
fundraising. It is important for high school students to learn about this potential career path in public service before they get to
college – as it may influence their choices during their collegiate years. (Click here to read the Top Ten Reasons to Consider a Career
as a Professional Fundraiser). INSERT LINK http://www.afpnet.org/About/content.cfm?ItemNumber=4375
