QUALITY ASSURANCE

review of design with Evo-Lite, but is intended to ensure a
complete package of approved components and to simplify
detailing. Coordinate product requirements in Part 2 to avoid
duplication with Evo-Lite Certification #.

1.11 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING

PART 2 PRODUCTS
2.1
COMPONENTS
A. LED lighting panels: Custom fabricated PMMA acrylic sheet with embedded LED lighting strip,
integral heat sink, and etched in multiple directions to provide uniform, source-free lighting
across panel face.

FABRICATION

Ensure that LED light panels are not chipped or warped by machining operations. Use cutting and
drilling equipment suitable for use with acrylic sheet.
D. Do not use adhesive to secure lighting panels or attach other materials to lighting panels.

Position power adaptors in concealed locations coordinated with electrical services and cord
lengths as applicable. Fasten using anchor tabs provided on adaptors and locate to allow for future
removal and replacement.

PART 3 EXECUTION
3.1
EXAMINATION
A. Section 01 70 00 - Execution and Closeout Requirements.

Verify locations of utilities associated with work of this Section. Do not install display assembly
until electrical devices are properly positioned for connection to LED light panels and power
adaptors.
INSTALLATION
A. Install LED lighting panels in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and according to
approved Project Certification submittal.

B.
Do not expose LED lighting panels to damp or wet environment without specific approval from
fabricator. Do not obstruct ventilation for concealed spaces and maintain designated air space
between LED panels and backlit surface materials.
C.
Secure LED panels to backlit display assembly with clips, channels, and other non-penetrating
fasteners except where specifically permitted by Project Certification.
D. Install backlit facing material securely in framing or mounting accessories. Use manufacturer
provided gasket glazing system for glazed panels in aluminum frames.
Specifier’s Note: Add specific installation
instructions or field finishing as required by materials
in backlit display assembly.

Install backlit facing materials and framing to prevent light leakage at any point on display
assembly. Consult Architect and display system fabricator for recommendation when field
conditions require modifications to approved Submittal or Mockup.

2. Remove labels and glazing materials from glass surfaces.
3. Vacuum dust from display assembly surfaces.

Remove strippable film from LED light panels. Clean exposed surfaces in accordance with
manufacturer’s instructions.
PROTECTION
