PRESS RELEASE
Mystery Evening to raise money for the Town Mayor’s charities
The Town Mayor, Councillor Rosemary Farmer, is planning an intriguing and fun Murder
Mystery Evening on Sunday 9 March at Roundwood Park School.
Great support has already been given for the event by Mr Grahame Smith who has kindly
donated his Murder Mystery story and package for free and by Hilary Bell and Frances Hall
who have kindly donated their time, as actors.
The evening, which starts promptly at 7.00 pm, will have a 1920s theme. Costume is
entirely optional but for those who like to dress up for the occasion there will be a prize for
the best costume.
The event will be raising funds for The Harpenden Trust and The Royal Anglian Regiment
Benevolent Charity.
Tickets cost £20.00 each, which includes a buffet supper. There will be a bar selling wine
and soft drinks and a raffle will be held at the end of the evening.
The Town Mayor said ‘Murder Mystery evenings have become very popular in recent years
and I am sure that it will be of great interest; especially to those that enjoy the theatre and
problem solving. I hope it will be a great fundraiser for my nominated charities. I am looking
forward to the evening.’
