Our Walk with Christ
Our Walk with Christ
 Last week we talked about leaving a mark – what are you going to
be remembered for in college and in life? What will your mark be?
This related to whether Young Life might be a large part of how you
leave a mark for God during college.

 Today, we want to honestly examine and evaluate our personal
walks with God. We are going to look at 3 things today and next
week: (1) Where our walks are, (2) Where they should be, and (3)
Why (and how) do we share it?

Drink Your Milk: What we need to grow spiritually:
a. 1 Peter 1:22-2:3
Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you
have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from the
heart.[1] 23For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of
imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. 24For,
"All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the
field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord
stands forever."[2] And this is the word that was preached to you.
1
Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy,
and slander of every kind. 2Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual
milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, 3now that you have
tasted that the Lord is good.

Psalm 1:2-3

Time alone with God is time getting to know God through reading His
Word and prayer. Time alone with God feeds our souls – there is more
to us than just our physical bodies!
Why do you think Jesus spent time alone with God early in the
morning? What can we learn from this?
It is not enough for us to master Christian beliefs and doctrine
(knowing all the right answers) but we must be mastered by the Lord in
our everyday lives.
Business in your day (Martin Luther)
PERSONAL APPLICATION: (1) Do parents (really) want to see their
babies (or kids) grow up? (2) Is you walk balanced and rolling?
