Instructions For GermJuice® Dry Powder Formula
Requires a dark environment for correct training! Only real UV lights can be used to expose fluorescent
chemicals in our product. Beware of cheap imitation lights which have no effect on products we sell. NO
glow of our product is the result of imitation UV lights.
To use Germjuice® Dry Powder for hand washing training, sprinkle a very small amount on the student’s
hands over a sink or protected covered area. Now work the Germjuice® Dry Powder into the hands
spreading the fluorescent powder over the student’s entire hands. Once this is done view with UV/Black
Light in darkness and be amazed at the bright glow of the hands. Now simply have the student wash his/her
hands as they would normally and view under Black Light once again. Any areas not properly washed will
still continue to glow. Complete washing until glow is completely removed. We recommend using a soft
bristle brush for hand cleaning as to allow student to remove trapped dirt/germs from cracks in hands &
around nails & cuticle area. This completes proper usage of Germjuice® Dry Powder.
Germjuice® Dry Powder can also be used as a bio contamination simulation method.

General Principles:
◊ Germs are so small that you can not see them and they are found everywhere.
◊ Viruses & Bacteria can cause illnesses and diseases such as: upper & lower respiratory tract infections, influenza,
hepatitis A & B, pneumonia, & Shigellosis.
◊ Washing your hands is the best prevention against these illnesses and diseases!
How to Wash Your Hands:
◊ Use very warm running water.
◊ Use liquid or pump soap whenever possible.
◊ Rub hands, wrists, & fingers together vigorously for 20 to 30 seconds.
◊ Pay special attention to the cuticles and underneath the fingernails. A small soft bristle brush is ideal for cleaning nails
& cuticles.
◊ Rinse thoroughly and dry off hands with a dry paper towel or hand dryer. Use paper towel to turn off faucet if not an
automatic style. Use paper towel on door handle when exiting.
When to Wash Hands:
◊ After using the toilet.
◊ Before preparing, touching or eating food.
◊ After playing with animals, handling money, coughing, sneezing, or blowing your nose.
Importance of Hand Washing:
◊ Illnesses and diseases caused by bacteria and viruses can be very serious and even cause death if not properly
treated.
◊ Germs can spread 4 ways: fecal-oral contact (ie-HIV/AIDS and hepatitis B) and respiratory/airborne contact (ieinfluenza and colds).
Hand washing needs to be reinforced and performed several times throughout the day, especially before meals and using
the restroom. Always teach by example to students. We hope all the following information is helpful & useful.
