CONTEST - Help Find a Tagline for Soldier On and win
some great prizes!
Soldier On is looking for help in creating a tagline, and we’re offering some great
prizes!
What’s a tagline? It’s a word or series of words that help capture the essence of a
brand, organization, or other entity. The tagline for Canada Army Run, for example, is
“No ordinary runners; No ordinary race”.
The Soldier On program is looking for a memorable, inspirational tagline that can be
associated with its name. It could be a phrase, a word, or a few separate words.
For every entry you submit, your name will be entered into a draw to win a daily prize
clothing package from the Soldier On Collection (hooded sweatshirt, T-shirt, and hat).
So the more ideas you submit the more chances to win! (Note: You can provide a list
within one e-mail and each item will count as a separate entry to the draw.)
And, if your suggestion is chosen overall, you will not only get bragging rights for
creating the winning tagline for a great program that helps ill and injured soldiers, but
you will also receive some publicity, a clothing package from the Soldier On collection, a
one-year membership to Goodlife Fitness (or partner of Goodlife Fitness in Quebec), a
free registration into the sold-out Canada Army Run, and two tickets to the popular
Canada Army Run Pasta Dinner. The total value of the prize package is over $800.00!
The winner of the tagline will be announced at a special event on 21 Sept during the
Canada Army Run Race Kit Pick Up and Expo. The tagline will be incorporated into new
Soldier On promotional material, including a video to be debuted at the 2013 Canada
Army Run.

RULES AND REGULATIONS
Potential winners must comply with all of the terms and conditions of these Official
Rules. Winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements.
1. No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win this contest.
2. Eligibility: Any person over the age of 13 can enter the contest. Contestants
under the age of 18 must have consent from their parent(s) and/or guardian(s) to
enter the contest.
3. Duration of Contest: Entries will be accepted from Tuesday August 6th at 9:00
a.m. Eastern until Friday August 16th at 11:00 p.m. Eastern. All submitted entries
will be reviewed by a panel of judges and the winners will be notified by Friday
August 30th. Every effort will be made to contact the winners directly via e-mail or
phone.
4. Content: Your entry must pertain to the theme of Soldier On. It should be
motivational, inspirational, reflective, historical, etc.
5. The entry must be in English, or French, or be a combination of both.
6. Your entry must be your own original work, and be the exclusive property of you
alone.
7. Your entry must not:
a. have been previously published, released or distributed in any form;
b. have won any prior awards or competitions;
c. advertise any commercial business, even if it is your own;
d. contain reference to any names, products or services of any company or
entity;
e. contain: (i) any material that is racist, sexist, illegal, immoral, obscene,
profane, lewd, inappropriate, disparaging, libellous, defamatory offensive;
f. copy or otherwise plagiarize materials from any source; or
g. convey or communicate any message inconsistent with the positive brand,
reputation for wholesomeness or good will of Soldier On.
8. You may submit more than one entry.
9. By entering your submission into the contest, you acknowledge and agree that
once it is submitted, it may be posted on the Soldier On Contest page.
10. Soldier On reserves the right to reject or disqualify your entry and/or remove your
entry from the 2013 Soldier On Tagline Contest if Soldier On believes it violates
or potentially violates any of the rules and regulations. The decisions of Soldier
On on this and all matters pertaining to the contest shall be final and binding.
11. The submission of an entry is solely the responsibility of the contestant, and all
Internet access and usage charges are the responsibility of the Contestant.
12. By entering this contest, you agree that the submission will not be used for any
commercial purpose, other than to enter this Contest.
13. You will be sent a confirmation of receipt of your Entry within 72 hours. If you do
not receive confirmation after you have submitted your entry, please notify
soldieron-sanslimites@forces.gc.ca to confirm that it was indeed received.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
By entering your submission in the Contest, you agree that Soldier On may post,
publish and use all or any part of the entry, and that if you are a prize winner, Soldier On
has the right to announce your name and city of residence.
You agree that Soldier On can use your entry in the future without notification or
compensation and that you hereby release Soldier On from any liability with respect
thereto.
By entering and/or participating in this Contest, you release Soldier On and its
employees, agents, and consultants, from any and all liability for any accident, loss, tax
liability, injury, death or damage of any kind, arising from your participation in this
Contest or in any Contest-related activity, or resulting from acceptance, possession, use
or misuse of any prize, or while traveling to and/or from a location as part of or to obtain
or use a prize.
JUDGING AND DETERMINATION OF WINNERS
Decisions of the judges are final in all matters relating to this contest. Because of the
unique nature and scope of the Contest, Soldier On cannot accurately predict the
number of Contestants who will participate in the Contest. Odds of winning depend on
the nature, quality and number of eligible entries received.
Potential winners will be notified by phone or email. Because of the need for Soldier On
to timely announce the winners, if any potential winner notification is returned as
undeliverable, or if potential winner does not respond to notification within five (5)
business days of the date and time of prize notification, prize will be forfeited and the
Contestant with the next best entry, as decided by the Soldier On contest judge(s), will
become an alternate winner. The contest opens on 6 August 2013 and closes on 16
August 2013 and we will be informing the winners no later than 30 August 2013. If you
know that you will be difficult to reach between these two dates (because of holidays,
for example), please notify us by emailing us with information on how to best contact
you in the event that you have won the contest.
Contest winners are responsible for finding their own means of transportation to the
events. Soldier On is not responsible for the contest winner’s ability to make it to the
race or pasta dinner. Prizes are non transferrable.
