Human refuse or more precisely people who are no longer needed,
excess to requirement. Denial of individuality and segregation of
diversity.
The construction of the new social order has turned truth into lies and
driven populations to embrace pleasure and cruelty.
Human relationships still born, existences invalidated and mutilated.
Human beings branded for riddance and liquidation.
The relation between the individual and the social body is the artist's
area of investigation. The one-man exhibition by Domenico Piccolo,
entitled
Criminal
Identities,
presents
a
series
of
pictorial
works
characterised by a very explicit language: cold colours, monochrome
transparent backgrounds, symbolic signs and bodies being liquified, but
never obscenely or brutally.
