Substrate Aluminium:
Over view
Aluminium comes in a variety of grades finishes. Nyalic® can be applied to all
aluminium surfaces as long as these surfaces are clean and uncontaminated.
Various cleaning and pre-treatments are available to ensure that your particular end
use and application is protected.
Aluminium surfaces to be coated with Nyalic® must be clean, dry and free of any type
of oil, films, grease, silicones and wax.
Bare Aluminium: New
Wear gloves
Prepsol wash to remove glue residues and or felt pen markings
Use Mek if Prepsol does not do the job.
A wash of the natural aluminium surface with a solution of Right Rinse™ and
SimplePrep™ following the recommended dilution rates should be used to
remove any contamination.
Thorough rinsing with clean water is required.
A final wipe over with denatured Alcohol just prior to Nyalic® coating.
A variety of surface finishes can be applied to the bare aluminium, High polish:
Compound 3m pad; random orbit, bead blasting; glass and Soda blasting.
All will give a distinctive finish.
Ensure Aluminium is bone dry:
Preheat in oven at 45 deg c to bring to temperature and drive off moisture.
