Villeroy & Boch Tiles at Cersaie 2013
Vilbostone porcelain stoneware for the commercial sector –
X-PLANE: two new colours for trendy tiling designs
X-PLANE is one of the top ranges by Villeroy & Boch Tiles for the commercial sector.
The design concept of the high-quality vilbostone porcelain stoneware range uses the
styling options of ceramics to create a wide diversity of options with the original material characteristics of cement. The result is a new look with fine colour gradations and
the homogeneity typical of porcelain stoneware. X-PLANE possesses an aesthetic material effect that enables numerous creative, individual and above all discerning room
concepts, particularly in the commercial sector.
For the year 2014, Villeroy & Boch Tiles presents two trendy additional colours to further complete the range of colours available with X-PLANE: with White and Black, two
looks reminiscent of chalk and coal, in future the concept will perfectly meet the requirements of architects and interior designers, project planers, shop builders and end
consumers, both in the area of light colour tones and in the high-selling, dark colour
range.
The new colours are offered for basic tiles and for cut formats as well, in both
smooth/matt and relief surface designs. X-PLANE offers a broad selection of formats
from which to choose: in addition to the attractive square format of 75 x 75 cm there are
also the formats 60 x 120 cm, 30 x 120 cm, 60 x 60 cm, 30 x 60 cm and 30 x 30 cm. All
formats are available not only in the new colours of White and Black but also in the
trendy colour of Greige, as well as in Creme, Beige, Grey and Anthracite. All formats
offer R10 slip resistance, and the 30 x 60 cm format is also provided with R11/B slip
resistance in all colours except White. For decoration, there are mosaics in all seven
colours in strip mosaic mats in 2.5 x 15 cm cut formats, supplied bonded to a lattice in
format 30 x 30 cm to make them easier to lay. The square mosaic of 7.5 x 7.5 cm tiles in
all colours offer additional design options; these, too, are bonded to a 30 x 30 cm lattice.
Narrow cut tiles in the formats of 15 x 60 cm and 7.5 x 60 cm complete the concept for
high-quality designs. Interesting for architects and private building owners alike is the
extravagant stair tread in the format 30 x 120 cm, offering R10 slip resistance.
Homogeneous effects can be achieved with the generous formats of X-PLANE, making
the room appear deeper and wider. This impression is underlined by the very discreet,
metallic glimmer of the tile surface. In prestigious commercial applications such as foyers, entrance areas, hallways, staircases, office space and meeting rooms, X-PLANE
combines purity of design with the advantages of porcelain stoneware. Here and in exquisite private bathrooms, kitchens and living areas, X-PLANE permits robust, durable
and at the same time extremely easy-care floors with an extraordinary visual appeal.
