1) For admittance into the graduate licensure program in history and social science
education you must hold an undergraduate degree in a social science (e.g. history,
political science, economics, geography, philosophy, IDST, etc)
2) You must also complete specific coursework in History (18 hours minimum), Political
Science (18 hours minimum), Geography (9 hours minimum) and Economics (6 hours
minimum). Complete the checklist of required courses below.
3) Courses in Geog and Political Science may be double counted. If you choose to take a
course pass/fail always check with your undergraduate advisor to make sure you are
meeting requirements for your undergraduate degree.
4) Transcript evaluations for required content are conducted upon application. If you
