Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. To provide a coordination role for Staffordshire Chambers, finest and futurefinest
and their clients to ensure that a full Chamber service is available to them
2. To provide support and service for the finest and futurefinest Steering groups
responding to their requests/ issues using the whole Chamber Team
3. To retain Chamber membership at the agreed target level, fulfill all given targets for
the Chamber and for the different trade sections and groups in your designated area,
and provide accurate, detailed tracking information to show progress;
4. To encourage all members to increase their involvement with the Chamber by doing
‘one new thing’ each year and attend events;
5. To facilitate the delivery of membership services by providing information and
support to members on how to access the benefits available to them. For example
providing login details to HR and Legal Help Lines, Health and Insurance plans and
any other relevant services.
6. To ensure all members are contacted regularly in line with agreed member contact
targets , and manage the information and any necessary follow-up from any account
management system;
7. To develop effective working relationships with Chamber service providers to support
‘sales’ of commissioned services to members; To monitor take up and usage of
commissioned services and generate income for the Chamber by encouraging
members to take up these services;
8. In consultation with members, provide the central Events team with a programme of
ideas for member events;
9. To lead on a programme of membership inclusive events: ‘Making the Most of your
Membership’ events and ‘Speed Networking’ events;
10. To work with all internal Chamber teams including Policy, Training and UKTI to
ensure that the interests and needs of all members are communicated and to keep
members informed of any changes to the offer and services of the Chamber as a
whole and so be aware of all aspects of the Chamber;
11. To attend events in order to meet Members and encourage retention, including
events in Stafford, Stoke and across the whole of Staffordshire;
12. To recruit new members to Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce in accordance with
agreed targets
13. To raise the profile of Staffordshire Chambers with the support of the marketing and
events team and including the use of social media and the production of newsletters.
14. To record all contact activity with members on Chambertrack, keeping the database
up to date with amendments ;
15. To produce regular data, as requested by CEO, or senior management on
membership;
16. To support the credit control team where required to follow up on invoices and chase
outstanding membership debts and to provide detailed information and research as
to what businesses value (or don’t value) from Chamber membership;
17. To support the membership manager by representing Staffordshire Chambers of
Commerce membership team at regional meetings when required and engage with
BCC;
18. Marketing and events for the European funded project: Make IT Your Business;
19. To work from the Stafford office if required as agreed with the Membership team;
20. To have own transport to enable travelling to events etc;
21. To work hours outside of normal hours, as required;
22. To adhere to the Chamber’s policies and procedures, especially health & safety and
IT and ensure compliance at all times;
23. To undertake duties that may reasonably by requested by the CEO.
