FIRST HOLY COMMUNION: The enrolment Mass takes place this Sunday at
11.00am. Parents and children please come up onto the sanctuary after the homily
and face the people. The words of the service are on the back of this newsletter.
CONGRATULATIONS: to Martin Richards and Katie Smith who are to be
married here next weekend.

RIP: please pray for Noreen Galvin whose funeral is this week.
CONFIRMATION: well done to all our young people and their parents who
came for Exposition and Benediction last Saturday and a tour of the church. I hope
you will remember you are always welcome to come and rest and pray before the

LUTON CANTATA: Thank you to all who came and supported the concert last
Sunday evening. It was a wonderful occasion and raised £525 for our parish
project. Many thanks to the Luton Cantata who performed free of charge, to Pat
Abela and Margaret who are part of the choir and our parish and to all who
helped cater the evening.
ALTAR SERVER TRAINING: on Saturday 29th November 10.30-11.30am &
Saturday 6th December 10.30am with Father Chris. Any server that cannot attend
the training must come for training on Friday 28th November 5.00-6.00pm. Any
queries please see Dominic.
ACT OF WITNESS: in support of life and against abortion outside Luton &
Dunstable hospital on Saturday 6th December 1.00-2.00pm. It is now 47years
since the Abortion Act was passed on 27th October 1967. There continues to be
hundreds of unborn children from this area, and thousands nationwide, who do not
come to birth. Please come to give them a voice, & to pray for all those involved.
C.H.F.C: The next mass is on Sunday 14th December 3pm at Our Lady’s, Castle Street.
READERS : will be (re) commissioned on Sunday 7th December at all Masses.
CAROLS BY CANDLELIGHT CONCERT: Tuesday 16th December at the beautiful St
Paul’s Church in Knightsbridge. Hosted by Sir Michael Parkinson & with special
performances from the New London Children’s Choir & Alzheimer’s Society’s Lambeth &
Southwark Signing for the Brain group. Tickets £30 Adult & £15 for child (aged 10-17).
Children aged 9yrs and under free. For tickets contact 0845 306 0898.
CHRISTMAS DAY LUNCH: Would you like to share Christmas with others at St Martin
De Porres Church Hall on Christmas Day 1.30-5.00pm for 4 course dinner. Mary Maybury
would like to invite those of you who would be on their own or unable to prepare a full
Christmas dinner to come along. Cost £5 or donation. Transport will be provided if needed.
