Dear Parents,
Welcome to Leah’s Gymnastics & Cheerleading Inc. We are pleased you have
chosen our gym for your child. We pledge to up hold our philosophy, which is to
teach Gymnastics and Cheerleading in a fun, safe environment, and raise your
child’s self-esteem.
This handbook will help to acquaint you with our policies and what we offer at
Leah’s Gymnastics & Cheerleading, Inc.
Leah’s has 7 departments:
 Preschool Gymnastics
 Recreational Gymnastics
 Cheer-Tumble Classes
 Tumbling Classes – all levels
 Competition Cheer
 Competitive Gymnastics
 Birthday Parties
If you have any questions, please call or come see me. I’m always interested in
hearing from you! Most of the changes throughout the years have been
suggestions from our customers. Our aim is to please! Please help us please you!
My staff and I are looking forward to teaching your children gymnastics and
cheerleading in a fun, safe, positive environment. Thank you for the opportunity

LGC RULES AND POLICIES
2013-2014
ANNUAL FAMILY REGISTRATION FEE
A Family Registration Fee of $50.00 will be due the 1st of September each year.
Active students Enrolled in monthly auto draft will have the $50.00 fee added to
September draft unless a written notification is made to the office by August 1 st.

Automatic bank draft processed on the 1st of each month
Credit Card on file processed on or after the 1st of each month

We require a 30 Day written notice on all cancellations

MAKE UP Day for MISSED CLASSES:
EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 2013
WE EXPECT FOR YOUR CHILD TO COME TO THEIR REGULAR CLASS TIME.
FOR THOSE MISSED CLASSES,
LEAH’S GYMNASTICS WILL OFFER A MAKE UP CLASS
THE 2ND SATURDAY OF EVERY MONTH.
TIMES WILL BE POSTED.
DUE TO OUR STUDENT TEACHER RATIO,
MAKE UP CLASSES WILL NOT BE OFFERED FOR A STUDENT
TO COME TO A DIFFERENT DAY AND TIME THROUGH THE WEEK.

TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OUR MONTHLY SATURDAY MAKE UP CLASS.
A CHILD MUST BE CURRENTLY ENROLLED TO MAKE-UP
HOLIDAY AND REGULAR SCHEDULED CLOSINGS
We do not make up for Holiday or Scheduled closings.
We do not charge extra for 5 week months, therefore we do not make
up or pro rate for Holiday or regular scheduled closings.
INCLEMENT WEATHER CLOSINGS
When Benton Public Schools are closed due to weather,
LGC will be closed also.
If there is a threat of dangerous weather
we may close at the last minute for the safety of our students and staff.
We will do everything in our power to notify you in this case by email,
our website, local television stations, phone calls, and recorded messages.
Please make sure to keep contact information up to date in the office. Thanks…

LET’S TALK SAFTY IN THE GYM
Here at Leah’s Gymnastics & Cheerleading, Inc.,
we strive to teach your children gymnastics in a fun and safe environment.
Listed below are some things that you can do to help us with the safety of your child.
We will talk to the children daily about staying safe,
but we also want you to talk to them if you see things they are doing that look unsafe.
Children are our world’s greatest asset. Let’s work together to keep them safe.
Listed below are some particular things we want the children to think about.
Three or four times during the year we set aside a few minutes to remind them of these rules.
Please read these to your children.
I. PROPER ATTIRE

Having the correct clothes can be a safety concern.

All girls must have their hair tied away from their face and no jewelry or dangling
earrings.

All girls in gymnastics class should wear a leotard without a skirt.

All girls in tumble and or cheer classes should wear gym shorts with a tight work
out shirt or t-shirt tucked in.

All boys should wear work out shorts and shirts.
II. BEFORE CLASS

Talk to your child at home about staying in line, not talking in class, and listening
carefully to the instructor.

Arrive for class 5 – 10 minutes early to dress child properly, calm the an anxious
child, and get them in the mood for learning.

Keep all brothers and sister out of the gym area and off any and all equipment.
Do not let them play on the stairs.

III.
All parents, siblings and guest are required to stay in the observation area.
DURING CLASS

There must be an instructor present to be on the equipment

Absolutely no horseplay or running around the equipment.

Listen carefully to the instructor on how to mount and dismount on and off the
equipment
IV.

Look around before you cross in front of other groups.

The children should tell the instructor if they are feeling sick or faint.

No gum during class
AFTER CLASS

Please do not have your child wait outside for you to pick them up. Come inside
to pick children up.
V. WARNING OF RISK TO PARTICIAPATE & INSURANCE
Leah’s Gymnastics & Cheerleading, Inc. is not responsible for providing medical
accident insurance on students. Parents are advised to provide adequate accident
insurance.

Gymnastic Level Advancement
Each child will move up as an individual
and will progress at their own pace
through levels 1, 2 & 3.
Advancement will be with the coach/instructor recommendation
as the child progresses through leveling system.
CHANGE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
Please keep your enrollment information up to date.
If your address, phone number or email address changes,
please inform us in the office.
NO SMOKING
Smoking is not allowed
anywhere in the building
or near any of the entrances.
