It is with great sadness that we report that
our Executive Director, Kim Hackwood
has tendered her resignation. Kim has
given AALARA 10 years of tremendous
service and with her help we have seen
AALARA grow into a stable, well
managed organisation. I know we will all
miss her and we can only wish her well in
her next endeavour. We will be
advertising for her replacement shortly.

Village Roadshow Theme Parks is recognising children in a new
campaign offering a free VIP Pass for a child with the purchase of

* Go Kart testing on barriers and karts is
scheduled for March in Sydney which will
assist in finalising revisions to the
Australian Standard for Karting.
* AFEI is working with AALARA toward a
submission on the impact to the industry
(penalty rates) as part of a four year
review.
* We are currently working with Laser Tag
industry operators on changing legislation
that will heavily impact this sector.
* The Board has been working on a new
Strategic plan for the next three year
period, we hope this will involve new
benefits and services for the members as
we strive to be an important resource for
our industry.
