Boise State University invites interested applicants for the tenure track position of Assistant/Associate Professor
in Biomolecular Sciences within the Department of Biological Sciences, to become a part of our team to continue
our quest toward becoming a Metropolitan Research University of Distinction. Exceptional candidates with
expertise in the fields of cell signaling, cancer biology, inflammation, developmental biology, molecular genetics,
or cell biology at the Assistant/Associate Professor level are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will be
involved in teaching graduate coursework in biomolecules/nucleic acids metabolism, cell biology or genetic
engineering, and will participate in a new interdisciplinary doctoral program in Biomolecular Sciences.
You will have the opportunity to:
 Teach graduate coursework in biomolecules/nucleic acids, and cell biology or genetic engineering
 Develop an independent research program
 Participate in an interdisciplinary doctoral program in Biomolecular Sciences
 Mentor MS and PhD graduate students
At a minimum you should have:
 An earned doctoral degree in biological sciences, genetics, molecular/cell biology, or a closely related
field
 Postdoctoral experience
 Research expertise in cell signaling, cancer biology, inflammation, developmental biology, molecular
genetics, cell biology, or closely related area
The preferred candidate will have:
 Ability to teach a graduate course in nucleic acids metabolism (BMOL 601), and advanced cell biology
or genetic engineering
 Demonstrated grantsmanship
Salary and benefits: Salary will be based on qualifications and includes an excellent benefits package including

well as other benefits.
