 Transitional words and expressions can forge specific connections between sentences. They are also used to link paragraphs
 When using them, try to vary their position in your sentences
 Transitions have several functions:

Add or show sequence
again, also, and then, finally, in addition, last, next, still, too

Compare
also, in the same way, likewise, similarly

Contrast
although, and yet, but, at the same time, despite, however, in spite of, nevertheless, on the contrary, though

Give examples or intensity
after all, for example, for instance, indeed, in fact, of course, that is, truly

Indicate place
above, below, elsewhere, farther on, here, near, on the other side, there, opposite to

Indicate time
after a while, afterward, as long as, as soon as, at last, at that time, before, earlier, immediately, in the past, later, meanwhile,
now, presently, shortly, simultaneously, since, so far, soon, then, until, when

Repeat, summarize, conclude
all in all, as has been said, in brief, in conclusion, in other words, in particular, on the whole, that is, therefore, in summary

