PSAT Students will be signing up in the main office for the PSAT before school, at lunch
and after school. This test is for Sophomores and Juniors only! The test date is Wednesday
October 16th (there is no school that day) at 8:30 AM in the high school commons. It is
approximately a 3 hour test. The cost is $17. There are fee waivers for Juniors only who
receive free or reduced lunch. If you are unsure of how to check whether students meet this
qualification you can tell them to check with their counselor and we can let you know that.
Once they pay, they will need to be given the study guide (these will be located in the main
office). Let me know if any other questions or concerns arise. Thank you! 
SOPHOMORE OF THE YEAR Sophomore of the Year Applications are available in
your counselor’s office. Winner will receive a $600 college scholarship. Deadline is
November 4th.
INDIAN ED SENIORS “Seniors, the Gates Millennium Scholars application is out and
we will have a workshop to help you through the 26 page application. Monday, October
14th, at 6:30 PM, join Mr. Rodgers and Sara Barnett for the Gates Millennium Scholars
Workshop. Sign up in the Indian Ed office room W204 Woodlawn Annex. This is a senior
scholarship, however, Sophomores and Juniors are encouraged to attend to be ahead of the

DONKEY BASKETBALL Donkey Basketball Oct. 22nd at 7:00p.m. in the High School
Gym. Tickets are $10 at the door, or advanced tickets can be purchased for $8 at TNT
Sportswear on Main St.The HS/JH team is Mr. Hamilton, Mrs. Riff, Coach Cooper, Coach
Rossman and Mrs. Wright.
RIVER HAWK RALLY NSU’s River Hawk Rally is November 2nd. You will get a tour of
the campus, receive academic, scholarship and financial aid information and get free
admission to the football game. See your counselor for more info.
SOCCER SHIRTS & SWEATS The HS soccer teams are ordering their yearly soccer
shirts and sweats. If you are interested in purchasing any, contact Coach Arundell in room
701. Orders/Money are due by Tuesday October 15th.
SCIENCE CLUB Science club: Next meeting for science club will be Tuesday October
15th. Ruth Herring from Oklahoma Blood institute will be here to discuss the blood drive.
Bring your membership dues to Mr. Ostrander room 617 . Due cover the costs of activities
and pizza at club meetings.
NATIVE AMERICAN IMPACT “Sapulpa High Seniors ~ Native American Impact on
Wednesday, October 16th, 2013 at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville campus. During
this exciting event, you will connect with fellow Native American students who want to join
the Razorback family. Meet faculty, talk with current students, and learn about financial aid
and special scholarships. You are responsible for your own transportation with your parents.

ALL BASEBALL PLAYERS Coach Mike Moore needs to meet with all Baseball players
that are playing next Spring, Friday at 11:30 in the Old Gym. (This is the last 10 minutes of
lunch) This is regardless if you are playing another sport at this time. 9-12th grade.
BPA MEETING BPA will meet at lunch on Friday, Oct. 11th in Mrs. Rodgers' room, 404.
CULINARY ARTS CLUB " Culinary arts club meeting this friday at lunch" bring your
own lunch, meeting will be in room 405 Mrs Linders room.
OU SOONER SATURDAY Seniors! OU’s Sooner Saturday is November 23rd. This is an
opportunity to tour the campus and experience what it’s like to be a Sooner. Visit ou.edu for

DONKEY BASKETBALL TICKET SALES Pings will be selling tickets for the donkey
basketball game during lunch next Monday and Tuesday.
NASA STICKBALL The Native American Student Association (NASA) invites everyone to
join us for stickball and Pizza today at 4:30 pm, at the Woodlawn Annex Green.
STUCO OFFICERS Monday, October 14 during lunch student council officers will meet
in 611 with Ms. Warner. See her for a lunch pass.
