Design appeal and quality focus in
value compact segment

Segment: Compact
The Chevrolet Cruze sedan stands for expressive design, build quality and running
refinement in Europe's compact value segment.
An arching roofline, extending from the steeply raked windshield into the slim rear pillars, is
the defining exterior feature of Cruze. Combined with a relatively short rear deck, it brings
four-door coupe-like looks to this market segment. Conveying a sporty yet warm ambience,
the five-seat cabin is typified by harmonious, flowing lines and the application of grained,
soft-touch materials.
The Chevrolet Cruze compact sedan earned the top rating of five stars from the European
New Car Assessment Program (Euro NCAP) in 2009. It was also elected "AUTOBEST
2010" by a jury of leading auto writers in Central and Eastern Europe and features a full
range of standard active and passive safety features, including: Electronic Stability Control,
Traction Control, Anti-lock Brakes, Brake Assist, Electronic Brake Force Distribution, and six
air bags.
Higher trim levels incorporate a safety feature called Side Blind Zone Alert, which spots
approaching vehicles in the side blind zone by means of radar. A rearview camera is also
available.
Cruze's suspension, braking and steering systems have been developed to meet European
driving tastes. Striking a balance between agility and ride comfort, Cruze offers the driver a
high degree of connectedness while delivering a relaxed and refined ride.
The engine line-up comprises a 1.6 and a 1.8L gasoline engine, a 2.0L turbo-diesel unit with
16 valves, and a 1.7L diesel engine. The 1.7L diesel unit is available in two variants with an
output of 110 hp (81 kW) and 130 hp (96 kW), respectively. Fuel consumption averages 3.7
liters per 100 kilometers on a combined cycle for the 110-hp engine, which translates into 99
g of CO2 emissions per kilometer.
Customers can select between two versions of the Chevrolet MyLink radio in higher trims.
Chevrolet MyLink technology aggregates content from smartphones onto a high-resolution,
full-color touch-screen display and provides easy access to phone books, personal playlists,
photo galleries and/or videos, and other stored media and data. MyLink radios offer access
to specialized apps, such as BringGo navigation, voice recognition and streaming audio.
Compatible devices can be connected via USB or Bluetooth.
Chevrolet continues to provide warranty, service and parts through its service network to all
existing and new Cruze owners. Parts are expected to be available for a minimum of 10
years after the original sale of a new car.
