Student Ephrata Educates Through Engagement Teacher Content Promoting student investment and motivation by creating the conditions that foster total participation. Find Someone Who Checklist Description- an activity in which students interact with peers and ask peers for their feedback on specific questions on a template. This activity involves listening to others and summarizing thoughts from peers. Once a student gives their verbal thoughts about the question, the template owner summarizes the answer and writes it on his or her template paper. After discussing one and only one question, each student needs to find a new partner to work with for another question. Students are showing evidence of their learning through discussion and summarization of peer responses. Students should hold discussions with different classmates for each prompt or question on the template. Teacher establishes expectations for the activity and monitors student interaction to check for understanding. Teacher develops a template that displays higher-order thinking prompts. Differentiation techniques are applied to meet the needs of all students. ( i.e. varied amount of questions/prompts, varied level of questions/prompts, summarize peer responses using pictures). Find Someone Who template is prepared prior to the lesson.
