Philosophy Minor
Students pursuing a minor in Philosophy must complete 21 credits. The following courses are required:
PHIL 151
PHIL 211
Introduction to Philosophy -- 3 credits
Contemporary Moral Problems -- 3 credits
In addition, students are required to take either:
PHIL 212
or
PHIL 214
Critical Thinking
Elementary Symbolic Logic -- 3 credits
The remaining semester credits may be earned from among the other offerings in philosophy provided at
least nine credits for the minor are from 300-level courses or above.

Philosophy Minor
The philosophy minor incorporates three components: a strong foundation in the history of philosophy,
dialogue with non-canonical traditions, an emphasis on political theory, and the ability to apply theory to
contemporary concerns.
24 Credits. At least 9 credits must be at the 300 level or above.
