Fees and Charges Policy POLICY Purpose The purpose of this policy is to outline Aus-Com Training Services financial management of course fees and charges as required by Standard Five of the Registered Training Organisation Standards 2015. Scope This policy applies to all learners of Aus-Com. Policy Aus-Com is committed to maintaining effective financial management processes for fees, charges, and fees paid in advance in accordance with legislative and regulatory requirements. Aus-Com advises students prior to enrolment of: The fees applicable to the training and / or assessment to be undertaken, and The organisation’s cancellation and refund policy All course fees for individual Units of Competency are available on the Aus-Com website, course outline, and by contacting Aus-Com directly. Fees for Qualifications can vary depending on the Units of Competency chosen, and it is encouraged to contact Aus-Com directly for a quote. Course Fees Individual students must pay a deposit or they can pay the total course fee at the time of booking, or the commencement of training. The course fee includes tuition, resources and assessment. For High Risk Work Licence courses, there is an additional Work safe fee that is payable to Department of Commerce Western Australia Work safe licensing. Payment of invoices is expected within normal business terms of 30 calendar days. Prepaid Fees Students are required to pay a deposit of their course fees prior to commencement of the course. Aus-Com and the Learner will organise an appropriate method of paying the remainder of the course fees at the commencement of training. Aus-Com will not hold more than $1,500 in prepaid fees from any learner. On-Site Course Fees Companies may book training to be delivered at their own site. The fee includes: Daily rate for tuition, resources and assessment Work Safe Fee and Photo Processing fee(for Work Safe application) for all High Risk Work Licence courses Page 1 Other fees such as travel and accommodation shall be charged to the client. An Assessment-Only Assessment fee includes: Assessment of both Theory and Practical Verification of Competency (VOC) Verifications of Competency can be conducted for various courses to ensure current competency. The VOC fee includes: Assessment of VOC Re-Assessment Fees If a learner is deemed Not Yet Competent on completion of training and assessment, they may reattempt the assessment a second time free of charge within 30 days. The above does not apply in the following circumstances: The learner was found Not Yet Competent in either of the ‘Experienced Operator’ courses for Forklift or Elevated Work Platform. This is due to the expectation that the learner is an experienced operator and only requires minimal training to ensure competency; or It is found that throughout training that the learner did not fully dedicate themselves to training and did not abide by the Student Code of Practice Other Fees and Charges Additional fees and charges include: Photo Processing and Admin fee if passport photos are not provided by the student for High Risk Work Licence courses Re-issue of a Qualification or Statement of Attainment Re-issue of Wallet Card Please note that if a learner requires a replacement High Risk Work Licence, they will need to contact Department of Commerce Western Australia Work safe licensing. Mitigating circumstances warranting the waiving or partial application of this policy are individually judged on merit and any such reconsideration shall be at the full discretion of Aus-Com management.
