In India approximately 3 lakhs babies die per year due to asphyxia.
Asphyxiated neonates require prompt, skilled resuscitation to survive the
neonatal period. Neonatal resuscitation is simple, inexpensive, available
and cost-effective but often not initiated or the methods used are
inadequate or wrong.
To overcome this situation Indian Academy of Pediatrics has launched a
novel project to train all the Pediatricians involved in care of newborn in
the skills of Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation
The Department of Pediatrics, Goa Medical College in association with
The Indian Academy of Pediatrics Goa State Chapter and IAP-NRP-FGM
is organizing the Advanced NRP Course on

This is a single day course designed to impart advanced neonatal
resuscitation skills to the participants. The length of course is around 9
hours. You will be provided Textbook of NRP 6th edition which you will
have to read before the training. Online written evaluation would be
conducted before the training. On successful completion of written
evaluation and training you will be provided with certificate which would
remain valid for two years. Since the course is skill oriented it would
greatly help you in dealing with cases of birth asphyxia.
All the pediatricians and Residents of pediatric faculty can participate in
the course.
The Fees for the course is Rs.2500/-(two thousand five hundred only) As
