The African Pharmacogenomics Research Consortium represented by the Universities of Cape Town, Stellenbosch and Pretoria, is
pleased to announce the first Pharmacogenetics and Personalised Medicine Conference in Africa. This conference will bring together
international and national leaders from academia, regulatory bodies, healthcare organisations, and pharmaceutical and diagnostics
industries to discuss recent progress in this area. This conference will focus on Africa with the theme “Going back to our roots to find
biomarkers of disease susceptibility and drug response”. The conference also aims to highlight developments and advances in key
areas of research including pharmacogenetics, pharmacogenomics, rare diseases, diabetes and cancer. We hope to attract
multidisciplinary participation in the conference; however, to facilitate a highly interactive conference, the number of places available
will be limited to 150; therefore, early registration is recommended.

Microbiomics and metablomics in health and disease
Pharmacokinetics and pharmacometrics
