The Howard University Alumni Association- Atlanta Chapter awards scholarships
to high school graduates entering their first year at Howard University and
continuing Howard University students. Students must permanently reside in the
Atlanta Metropolitan area and have enrolled at Howard University in a degreeseeking curriculum in the fall of 2012. Six scholarships will be awarded: two
scholarships in the amount of $1,000, two in the amount of $750, and two in the
amount of $500.

It is the responsibility of the applicant to gain admission to Howard University
before the final scholarship selection in July.
Awardees are required to attend the Alumni Club’s Bison Fest Picnic on August 4,
2012 in Atlanta, GA.

PART 4. COMMUNITY SERVICE/EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Please attach on a separate sheet: a list of extracurricular activities in which you
have participated in during your junior and senior years in high school (and
college for college students) including but not limited to athletics, class
organizations, student publications, dramatics, music, church, community and
volunteer activities in a non-school setting. Describe any leadership roles taken
in these activities. A resume format is suggested.
