Fall 2013
Discover the Shoals Scavenger Hunt Assignment
Due December 3, 2013
20 Points
The best way to learn about your university and your community is to get out and explore! To successfully
complete this assignment, you must choose 5 places/events/projects from the list below. You then must visit
the location, participate in the event or complete the project; to prove that you have done so, you must take a
picture of yourself completing each of the 5 activities. Note: In order to receive full credit, students must
complete at least one activity from each of the categories. Students must then compile all 5 images – or more
if you want – into one document (e.g., Word document, PDF, PowerPoint slides, etc.), print it and submit it on
the last day of class, December 3rd. No late work will be accepted.
Museums/sites: If you visit any of the museums, your picture MUST be taken inside. All of the Florence City
Museums (FCM) charge $.50 for students so make sure to bring your ID to get the discount! You will need to
do a little searching around online to find hours and directions for these locations.
