Sir/Madam,
With reference to the above subject, This Office has received Revised Guidelines on the above mentioned
subject which are furnished below
1. There were 09 Topics in the earlier sent letter. In the Current revised guidelines there are only 07 Topics.
i) Topics deleted from the earlier letter
(a) North-East India (Deleted)
(b) India’s Cultural Heritage (Deleted)
(c) Contribution of Indian Women to Society (Deleted)
ii) Topics added in the Revised Circular (Newly Added)
(a) India’s Soft Power (e.g. Role of Culture, IT Industry, Bollywood, Tourism etc.)
2. Topics which are not changed
i)
International Day of Yoga
ii)
India and United Nations
iii)
India and her neighbors
iv)
Climate Change – an Indian view
v)
Relevance of Mahatma Gandhi in Contemporary World

India-Africa Ties – Partnership for Future
3. Now There are 07 Topics in the Revised Letter.
4. The Student can select any one of the 07 Topics and submit the Essays either in English or in Hindi.
5. You are requested to conduct the Essay Competition in your school for the students of Senior Classes (XI and XII)
as per the revised schedule given (Copy of a Time Line attached).
6. The Students should submit the Essay either in English or Hindi in a neatly typed format (A4 size paper, Font
Times Roman, Size 14) as specified in the Rubrics for Assessment of the Essays ( copy attached) to their
respective schools. Essay should not exceed 3000 words.
7. The School should select only 3 Best Entries (English and Hindi together) and those essays with all details
including a pass port size photograph (A Scanned copy of the Passport size photograph also needed) should be

forwarded to Principal Incharge, Regional Level Selection Committee, Kendriya Vidyalaya Koliwada on or before
6th November 2015 (Do not send Essays directly to Regional Office).
The Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya Koliwada will receive 3 Best Entries from 40 (Except Dhule, Manmad, Talegaon,
Chakur, Nanded, Ambarnath Shift 2, Thane Shift 2, Aurangabad Shift 2) Schools.
Further, a selection Committee will be constituted as per the Guidelines given by KVS HQ in consultation with
Regional Office.
3 Best Entries (English and Hindi taken together) at Regonal Level will be selected on 9th November 2015 and
they will be forwarded to KVS RO Mumbai for further submission to DEPUTY COMMISSIONER, Delhi Region on
or before 14.11.2015 .
The Principal; KV Koliwada should make confirm Railway Reservation AC III tier for the students whose entry has
been graded as the best in the Region along with the escort teacher by 14.11.2015 to attend the programme in
Delhi from 07.12.2015 – 09.12.2015.
Participants along with the teacher escort must report to Delhi by 07.12.2015 by 8.00 AM.
Return Journey may be planned on 09.12.2015 after 5.00 PM only.
All the Principals are requested to go through the contents of the attachment enclosed and adhere to the
Guidelines (specifications and the time schedule) & do the needful action.
As a part of the Initiative by XPD Division of Ministry of External Affairs, the essay
competition will help to create awareness among the students on the conduct of India’s foreign Policy. It will
also provide an opportunity to interact with one another on the vital international issues which impact the
National and International Policies of the country.
Schools should give wide publicity to this competition by displaying the topics on their
website.
