Our guide you pick you up at your hotel and
give you a tour orientation before starting the
tour. Tran Quoc pagoda – the oldest temple of
Vietnam, constructed during the reign of
Emperor Ly Nam De, is the first stop. Then
transport to Museum of Ethnology where
exhibits and preserves the cultural and historic
patrimony of the nation’s diversified ethnic
groups. The tour continues to Temple of
literature- Vietnam's first national university,
the temple complex, consisting of five
courtyards, is extensive and well kept, and
makes a welcome retreat from the frenetic
streets of Hanoi.
After lunch, visit Hanoi’s heart, Hoan Kiem Lake
of which Ngoc Son temple is located on the
water surface. Then have a walking or cyclo
tour in the Hanoi Old Quarter, which 1000
years long history still remains, in mosscovered architecture in the mix with many
colorful and varied merchandise and busy
streets. Visit a tube house, a typical old Hanoian
house, and meet with the owner of the house if
it is your interest. Extend your tour with an
hour water puppets show – an art form unique
to Vietnam was created by the farmers and
dates back nearly a thousand years. The plays
originally performed on lakes and ponds during
the festivals held after the harvest; depict the
Vietnamese daily life and legends. Tour ends.
After breakfast, visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum
where the legendary man of the nation, Ho Chi
Minh is resting, an important place of
pilgrimage, the holiest of the holies for many
Vietnamese. Afterwards, time travelling to the
Vietnam war with the States by lively stories
about John McCain at Hoa Lo prison, one of
the thought-provoking remnants from the
severe war. The tour continues to Temple of

DAY 1: The trip start
from 8:00, you will be

Textile specialist, Ms.
Thanh, an innovative
textile
artist,
traditional weaving
and dying researcher
and inheritor, will
greet and transfer you by private car to the
Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, one of the most
interesting museums in Vietnam where display a
wide range of textiles, craft of 54 ethnic
minorities living in Vietnam, an amazing chance
to discover Vietnamese creative abilities as well
as skills in a textile and learn the history of
weaving and techniques of weaving several
motifs. Depart the museum, you will visit the
Natural Dye and Hand Over Workshop at chez
Thanh. After lunch, attend The Fine Art Museum,
which has a stunning display of textiles in one of
the city's finest colonial building, which once
serviced as the French Ministry of Information.
The tour continues to the Silk Street located in
the heart of the old quarter; shopping at the
continuous street of sophisticated handicraft
products shops.
DAY 2: After breakfast, our car will bring you to
visit Mr.Tran Dinh Khuong’s house, a master in
making lacquer painting. You will have an
excellent opportunity to observe the advance
and exquisite in the process of lacquer painting.
Mr.Khuong himself will present to you the
exhibition of his fine works for years.
Afterwards, Mr.Khanh, a great artist who is able
to play so many traditional Vietnam musical
instruments, will welcome you to his home
sweet home for the introduction to each cultural
value contained instrument. You will have a
chance to watch him performing on each
instrument and to hand-on the practice
yourself.In the afternoon, take a tour around the
excellent Hanoi Fine Arts Museum where you
could discover Vietnam Arts history from the
very primitive times with nature made colors to
the very fine masterpiece in contemporary
works. A cooking class will be taught right after
by the well-known master chef Mai at the
Matchbox restaurant. Hand on with few local
specialties such as nem (spring rolls), bun cha
(sausages, noodle and fish sauce) for a better
understanding of the well-recognized Vietnam
cuisine. End of tour!

HANOI LEISURE BIKING TRIPS
DUONG LAM ANCIENT VILLAGE: (B, L)
Leave the hotel to head to the city’s
suburb. It takes 1hour to travel west
of Hanoi to visit Duong Lam village, a
purely agricultural village of the
Northern Red River delta that still
preserves many hundred-year-old
houses. Leisure walking or biking
along tiny ancient alleys; visit a
communal house in Mong Phu hamlet - the only hamlet whose original
village entrance gate remains intact. Visit Mia Pagoda that is built in 15th
century and admire 287 statues of all sizes. Afterwards, visit local families in
their homes and enjoy lunch with Vietnamese food in a traditional home
setting. Then, the tour continues to Ngo Quyen temple and Phung Hung
temple, places dedicated to two national heroes. Drive back to Hanoi in the
afternoon. Tour ends.
CU DA - CHUONG - PHU VINH
HANDICRAFT VILLAGE:(B, L)
Leave at your hotel at 8am, a
hour/40km drive to Ha Tay for about
40 minutes to Phu Vinh bamboo
basketry and rattan. We start walk
from this village, crossing the rice
fields to the next villages and Tram
Gian pagoda which is one of the oldest pagodas in this region and then we
walk through Tram village that is famous for stone caving and then we have
lunch in a local restaurant ( it is about 5km), after lunch we keep walking
through couple of others villages, rice paddies with a wonderful and
romantic views of countryside along the Day river to Chuong Village (the
most famous of conical hat) to learn how the process of making a conical hat
for practical use and for perform and then we walk to Vac village (famous
for making bird case). During this walk we will have chance to meet and
learn about the daily life of the farmers around the Red river delta as well as
their traditional custom and culture value. This walk is approximately about
9km, pick up and transfer back to Ha Noi.
BUT THAP PAGODA - DONG HO PAINTING VILLAGE:(B, L)
Leave at your hotel, it takes 1hr20m to
drive to the rural area out of Hanoi to
visit the But Thap Pagoda in Bac Ninh
province. But Thap Pagoda is situated
on the dike of the Duong River, Thuan
Thanh district, in Bac Ninh province,
was built in the late Le dynasty in the
17th century, one of the oldest pagoda
in the North, still remain unique architecture and old history valued statues.
After But Thap pagoda, we drive to Dong Ho Village to see the traditional
painting Village in the north of Viet Nam. Dong Ho is a small village in Thuan
Thanh, Bac Ninh province, located on the southern side of the Duong river
(30km to the east from Hanoi,) is one of the villages that remains to
preserve ancient cultural relies of Kinh Bac area (red river delta, north of
Vietnam.) Dong Ho paintings have about 300 years of history. Dong Ho Folk
painting is very famous because of its completely natural materials “Giay
Dzo” and every painting contains Fengshui elements water, mountain, earth,
trees…Lunch at a local house, then transfer back to Ha Noi. Tour ends!

HANOI - DONG NGAC - WESTLAKE: (B, L)
After breakfast, start your very first wheels on the off-beaten-tracks,
parallel with the flow of Red river on the other side. You will bike through
the gorgeous flowers and tangerine farms of the local people whose lives
solely depend on the fertility of the river. Take a short break at the small
ceramic village where many stunning products are lining up on the bank
of the river, create such a beautiful scenario. Continue cycling through the
winding trails to reach Dong Ngac village. This is one of very rare villages
in Hanoi still remains its identities of an old traditional town with well,
banyan tree, red brick-made walls. You will then visit a tofu-making
master who has been inherited the traditional skills and secrets to make a
delicious tofu and learn the process of making it. Lunch is served at the
local house. Our car will come to pick you and the bike back to the hotel.

Support: An air-conditioned supported van travels behind to support any
time. You can cycle as much or as little as you like.
The Best Time: End of Sep and Oct / March to May: not so hot, with
sunshine, green rice field or harvest time, occasional light rain.
HANOI - GIANG MO FULL DAY (B, L)( ~25-40km Biking)
Drive out of Ha Noi about 35km to Luong Son Market ( Hoa Binh Province)
and then set up our bike, safety gear and starts our riding on hilly paths up
down the mountains, valleys, rice fields, tea as well as sugarcane
plantations, upon the ride we will stop at couple of families to learn more
about the daily lifestyle of the Muong and Thai people. Arrive CUN pass
and freewheeling down to Hoa Binh town for lunch in a local restaurant,
after lunch drive or ride up to Giang Mo village for short visit and walk
around before transfer back to Ha Noi.
HANOI - NINH BINH FULL DAY (B, L)
Leave at your hotel. Drive about 80km/1,5hr out of Hanoi through Cuc
Phuong national park, an important nature reserve and ecosystem with
peaks of over 600 Meters and valleys of subtropical rainforest, cycle along
to explore the wonderful nature scenery of Vanlong/Tamcoc - called
Vietnam’s land-locked small “Inland Ha Long Bay”, through villages, rice
fields and impressive limestone mountains, low limestone caves and
grottos. Enter Hoa Lu, the site of the tenth century capital of the
Vietnamese Kingdom of Dai Co Viet and the capital city of Vietnam before
1010 AD, and discover an important piece of the country’s early history in
this “Ancient Capital”. Lunch at a best-known local restaurant. Return to
Hanoi in the late afternoon. Arrive in Hanoi. Tour ends.
HANOI - HA TAY (B, L)
Leave at your hotel, drive to Ha Tay, where there is quite probably the last
remaining Vietnamese village not affected by the world outside and
modern developments: bamboo scenes, rice and maize fields, silent,
simple life, natural and hospitable local farmers. Visit a pagoda where
preserves many precious worshipping objects, wooden and stone basrelieves and steles, lacquered statues, thrones, bells. Visit an ancient
village that is nearly 1,200 years of history, where you trace back the
origin of Vietnam's culture and traditions and explore the special
architecture through its surviving laterite brick ancient houses. Lunch at a
local restaurant. Leisure biking around the village and making contact
with the local, you can even take part in local people’s farm work if it is
harvest time (May and End of Sep). Drive back Hanoi in the afternoon.
