Painting Watercolors From Photographs
Instructor: John A. Hancock
Sometimes it isn’t easy to work outside for a long stretch or to have a still life set up for
several days or a week while we work on a major watercolor. That is when we usually
turn to using a photograph. They can be such wonderful aids … and a bit of a curse at
times too! So let's explore how we can use the photograph to create watercolors that
are really exciting and creative in this short five week class. Bring some of your favorite
photos … your camera, smartphone, I-pad, or tablet ... and, of course your standard
watercolor supplies. For beginners to advanced students who have at least a little
experience with watercolor painting.
