WHEN HEALTH INSURANCE ALONE IS NOT ENOUGH
Our Aflac agent, Tim Doubledee, will be available throughout the remainder of the year for open
enrollment. If you wish to meet with Tim about making changes or obtaining new coverage, fill out the
attached flier and return it to him by email (timjdd@hotmail.com) or to Cynthia Paul or Katherine
Elfrink as soon as possible. Tim will also be available at scheduled insurance benefit meetings at the
board office on December 3rd and 4th. Enrollment in Aflac benefits must be done in person with our
agent. Tim is available for appointments at your school location or home (evening appointments
available), whichever is most convenient.

WHAT’S NEW WITH AFLAC?
ACCIDENT ADVANTAGE
Aflac’s newest Accident coverage has newer and enhanced benefits, to include higher benefits when
treated in Hospital Emergency Room ($170), Rehabilitation Facility ($150 per day), Prosthetic Repair
or Replacement ($800), Home Modification ($3,000), Family Support ($20 per day), and Organized
Sporting Activity (25% Additional of Benefits payable up to $1,000 per year).
If you currently have an existing Accident policy, it will stay the same at the same rates unless you
choose to upgrade to the new version.
ONE DAY PAY
If you file your claims using Aflac’s new Smartclaim system at aflac.com, and you submit all necessary
supporting documentation, your claim will be processed in one day. If you set up Direct Deposit, you can
get your money even faster! (ONE DAY PAY does not apply to every policy, such as Short Term Disability)
If you have wanted Aflac coverage in the past, but did not qualify due to pre-existing conditions, this is your
chance to sign up! Don’t miss out on this important coverage! If you are a young woman thinking of family planning,
the Short Term Disability policy could make it easier to take time off when you have a new baby.
