You have just eaten a deluxe cheeseburger with everything on it (except onions…gross).
You are trying to determine what parts of your meal contains different macromolecules
(monosaccharides, polysaccharides, protein, lipids). What tests should be performed on
the food and what are the positive indicator results for each of the test with a particular
macromolecule?
The unique properties of water can be attributed to its unique polarity. This polarity
results from a combination of a number of attributes. Your assignment is to write a short
essay that describes these attributes (number and type of covalent bonds, presence of
nonbonding electrons, and molecular shape) and how they combine to determine the
