CHICAGO – March 2, 2013 – Combination steam cleaner and bagless vacuums new to the U.S. offer consumers
more than ordinary vacuums: they offer green cleaning with the power of steam. Polti, a leading European producer
of small yet powerful household steam appliances, today introduced its EcoSteamVac Dual to the U.S. market and
debuted a new high-end model, the EcoSteamVac Turbo, at the 2013 International Home + Housewares Show
(Booth No. 11742, Lakeside Center, Level 3). The show, at McCormick Place, Chicago, runs March 2–5.
EcoSteamVacs give users the most ecologically friendly cleaning systems for their personal environments. They
are two products in one: a high-powered steam cleaning system that eliminates the need for chemical, detergents
and pesticides, plus a patented, powerful, bagless, water filtration-based vacuuming system that never loses
suction and doesn’t return dust back into personal environments. EcoSteamVacs vacuum up solids and liquids at
the same time. They can be used as vacuum cleaners without the steam function engaged for everyday cleaning,
and as steam cleaners for occasional deep cleaning with or without the vacuum function being used.

EcoSteamVacs produce steam superheated up to 315 degrees Fahrenheit for fast, natural cleaning and sanitizing
of every washable surface in and around the home, including floors, windows, rugs, carpets, sofas, windows,
kitchens, bathrooms, fixtures, mattresses, radiators, car interiors and wheels, bicycles, motorcycles, patio furniture,
plants and more. Steam is created in Polti’s high-pressure boilers, and the boilers’ patented safety caps cannot be
opened if there is even minimal steam pressure in the boilers, preventing the risk of opening them prematurely.
Instead of using a bag to capture particles, EcoSteamVacs use a patented, sophisticated, water-based filtering
system that does more than simply contain the dust and dirt: together with the HEPA filter it retains 99.5 percent of
it, including pollen and dust mites. The “Eco-Active” water filter works by generating a vortex of water that pushes
the particles toward the bottom of the tank and keeps them there without any dispersion back into the environment.
Other vacuum cleaners release some dust and dirt back into the air during vacuuming and bag changes. Even
cyclonic cleaning systems disperse dust when the canister is emptied.

EcoSteamVacs have been awarded The British Allergy Foundation’s Seal of Approval for their effectiveness in
destroying dust mites.
At the Home + Housewares Show, Polti introduced EcoSteamVac Turbo. This top-of-the-line product’s features
include:
 A high-efficiency turbo brush for floors and carpets (a wood floor brush is optional)
 A mini-turbo brush for upholstery that’s ideal for removing pet hair
 An automatic refilling system that pumps water from a secondary tank to the boiler which saves time (no
waiting for the boiler to cool down) and gives users extended use
 Steam-rate output of 3.9 ounces per minute
 Boiler made from Polti’s aluminum alloy composition for excellent energy conduction and reduced energy
consumption
 Four different suction levels
EcoSteamVac Dual features include:

Both EcoSteamVacs have the following features and specifications:
 Constant maximum suction power. Unlike many other vacuums on the market, EcoSteamVacs never
lose suction thanks to their water-based filter. With traditional vacuums, when the bag or the canister that
collects the particles starts to get full, the suction power tends to decrease. With the EcoSteamVacs’ waterfiltration system, this does not occur because the particles are saturated in water.
 Cleaner, healthier air. EcoSteamVacs’ four-stage filtration system concludes with a washable HEPA filter
that catches any remaining impurities in the air before it exits the machine; 99.5 percent of micro-particles,
such as pollen and even dust mites, are captured and not returned to personal environments.
 Maximum steam pressure of 75 pounds per square inch
 Five steam adjustment levels
 A rich assortment of accessories for nearly every cleaning need in and around a home
 Optional accessories include a steam iron accessory that converts the product into a steam station iron,
and the Steam Disinfector, which can be used for sanitizing surfaces
 Use tap water, however, because water contains calcium, long-term use of tap water can cause calcium
build-up in the boiler, Polti recommends using either 50 percent tap and 50 percent distilled water, or tap
water and Polti’s natural decalcifier, Kalstop FP2003
