Orthopedic Nursing Conference

In its third consecutive year, the Orthopedic
Nursing Conference continues to be a popular
demand among nurses at the Baptist. Repeated
comments have always been: “Great speakers!”,
“Informative topics!”, “Looking forward to the
next one!”
Our speakers are no other than our own clinicians
and we are most grateful for their continued
willingness to share their expertise to our staff.

GRAND ROUNDS
These lectures focus on current trends and updates in
orthopedics, surgery, medicine, sports medicine and risk
management. Speakers include physicians and other
professionals from NEBH and other teaching hospitals
around the country.

PATIENT CARE GRAND ROUNDS
The Patient Care Grand Rounds is a multidisciplinary
presentation of the care and management of a patient
condition, clinical event, or a surgical procedure.
Professionals from the health care team share their
knowledge and expertise, as well as discuss some of the
“best practices” learned from their areas of specialty.

The SCHWARTZ CENTER ROUNDS
A highly interactive format, the Schwartz Center
Rounds affords caregivers from different
disciplines – doctors, nurses, social workers,
clergy and allied health professionals – a regular
opportunity to discuss challenging emotional and
social issues that arise in caring for patients.

specific to the clinical areas and health care quality will
be utilized to enhance learning.

allow nurses to satisfy CE requirements online. They contain the latest topics on patient care and drug
administration. Each CE module consists of course material, an interactive review, and a competency test with a

2. Under Core Resources Databases, click on CINAHL
3. On the “EBSCO HOST” page, look for “Limit Your Results” section, “Publication Type”, click “CEU”, then
click “Search” at the lower left bottom of the page.
4. The CINAHL topics are arranged in alphabetical order. Once you selected your topic, click the “CE Module”
located just below the title and author of your topic.
5. On the CINAHL Education Page, you will be asked to preregister by completing the registration form and
indicating a Password. Please remember your password. You will need it the next time you log-in to do
another CE Module.
6. Complete your CE module, take the test, then print your CE Certificate.
