Guidelines for completing Application form for Pygmy Goat Club HERD BOOK/PET RECORD
ALL APPLICATIONS FOR GOATS WITH UNKNOWN PARENTAGE MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY THEIR ASSESSMENT
FORM – obtained from officials at a PGCI Inspection.
Please use BLOCK CAPITALS throughout.
Application may only be made by the Breeder of the goat.
Name of goat: Prefix followed by a name.
Sex: Please indicate whether Male or Female or Wether
Date of Birth: Please state day, month and year.
Other kids: You must give details of other kids born at the same time, all applications for kids from same litter must
applied for together and cannot be registered at a later date. Registration may be refused if this is not complied with.
Horned/Disbudded: Please indicate which. N.b. Pygmy goats cannot be naturally polled.
Height: This is only required if the goat being registered is over 12 months of age. State height from assessment form.
Microchip no.: Under the Pygmy Goat Club rules all goats must be micro-chipped to apply for registration. Please send chip
sticker with registration form, also write it down on the form.
Pedigree details: All names and numbers must be given at time of application.
Service certificate: You must attach a certificate of service if you were not the owner of the sire.

Colour Chart
GREY AGOUTI (commonly called blue): The grey agouti colour pattern can range FROM black and white hairs
intermingled with slightly more white hairs to give a light grey colour, making the topcoat appear to be silver/pewter in
shade to a darker grey appearance with fewer white hairs.
BLACK AGOUTI: Black mainly with only occasional intermingled white hairs.
BLACK: Solid black except for muzzle, crown, eyes and ears distinctly accented in white. The tail may be accented in white.
SOLID BLACK: All black with NO lighter accented tones on the muzzle, crown, eyes, ears, or tail.
Other colours include: Chocolate/Tan/Fawn/Brown Agouti/Cream. Strictly no pure white pygmy goats!
Please note: All applications for foundation stock must be accompanied by an assessment form, which would have
been completed by Club officials at a PGCI inspection. All first, second and third generation goats will receive a
temporary registration form. At the age of 12 months (at least) after a PGCI assessment the first and second
generation goats will be given permanent status and the third generation goats will be given pedigree status .
