The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) held its meeting under the Chairmanship of Dr. Hammad Owais
Agha Additional Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 2 nd November, 2015. The meeting was attended by its members, and respective administrative Secretaries. The forum considered 70 projects pertaining to Agriculture,
Elementary & Secondary Education, Higher Education, Local Government, Board of Revenue, ST&IT, Health,
Irrigation, Public Health Engineering, Relief & Rehabilitation and Communications & Works Departments for the uplift of the province. The forum approved 69 Projects with an estimated cost of Rs. 32911.288 million and 1 project was deferred due to inadequate project designs.
In the Agriculture Sector approved projects were “Provision of Pumping Machinery for Productivity Enhancement in
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Improvement & Management of Govt Seed Production Units in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Quality
Seeds Production and Distribution in KPK”.
In the Elementary & Secondary Education Sector approved projects were “Provision of facilities in Cadet Colleges
(Kohat, Swabi and Swat), Continuous Capacity Development of Parent Teachers Councils. (SBSE), Development of
Play area in Primary Schools”.
In the Higher Education Sector only approved project was “Strengthening of Abdul Wali Khan Campus at Buner”.
In the Local Devlopment Sector approved projects were “improvement & Widening Pajjagi Chaghar Matti Road Pk-
07 District Peshawar, Providing & Installation of LED Road Lights on GT-Jamrud Road (N-5) from Zakori Bridge to
Administrative Boundary, Peshawar. Uplift of Rural Roads in Districts Dir Upper and Dir Lower”.
In the Board of Revenue Sector only approved project was “Construction of 100 No Patwar Khanas in Khyber
Pakhtunkhwa (Phase II)”.
In the ST&IT Sector only approved project was “Establishment of Centralized GIS Facilities”.
In the Health Sector approved projects were “Establishment of Bacha Khan Medical College, Mardan, Upgradation of
BHU Martung to RHC District Shangla, Upgradation of Existing Accident & Emergency Unit and ICU at HMC,
Peshawar, Upgradation of BHU Shewa to RHC, District Swabi, Establishment of Nowshera Medical College (Phase-I),
Improvement of Emergency Services in all Teaching & Other Hospitals of Peshawar & DHQ Hospitals of the
Province”.
In the Water Sector approved projects were “Construction of Protection Structures on L/S of Kabul River U/S and
D/S Nowshera Mardan Road Bridge, District Nowshera, Construction of Flood Protection work and roads along
Khawars / Drains at Amangarh, Kheshki bala and Payan, District Nowshera, Construction of 05 KM canal patrol road in Sarkho, Lakray & Kaniza area, District Peshawar, Construction and Improvement of Canal Patrol Road and Flood protection Works in Dargai, Skha-kot and adjoining areas District Malakand”.
In the DWSS Sector approved projects were “WSS schemes and distribution work in PK-40 District Karak, WSS schemes and distribution work in PK-41 District Karak, WSS schemes and distribution work, in PK-42 Hangu,
Provision of sanitation schemes in UCs Umerzai, Turangzai, Shodag, Dhaki, Harichand, Behram Dher & Mandori in
PK-21 District Charsadda, Installation of water supply Tube wells alontwith Distribution system 04 nos. in PK-50
District Haripur, Construction of water supply schemes and sanitation schemes in village Kundi & village Mian Dheri
Tehsil Ghazi District Haripur”.
In the Building Sector approved projects were “Establishment of Project Unit for PaRRSA / PDMA for USAID Projects in C&W Department, Construction of Cafeteria in Provincial Assembly Building at Khyber road Peshawar,
Construction of High Rise Flats at Nishterabad Peshawar “.
In the Urban Development Sector approved projects were” Provision of External Electrification and Sui Gas
Transmission Line to Regi Model Town Peshawar, “Beautification of Peshawar”.
