Our oral history project captures longheld community memories, provides public access, holds a study library and archives for interviews, and assists others in documenting personal, community, or family stories in film and audio.

College mentors, high school staff, and a dedicated community non-profit partner meet weekly during the school year to teach the art of oral history collection and digital recording to high school students.

Since 1998 - we are a community oral history collection partnership of the Old Church Gallery, Ltd., Radford University’s Center for

Social and Cultural Research and Scholar-Citizen Initiative, and the Digital

Media & Technology Education classes at Floyd County High School. Our transcript, film, image, and audio archives now hold one hundred interviews.
