This scholarship is federally funded by the College

Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP). It has 40 scholarships available to qualifying freshmen. Do you qualify?

- Have your parents worked in agricultural activities related to production of crops, dairy products, poultry or livestock, cultivation or harvesting of trees, or fish farms within the last 2 years?

- Have you or your family participated in the Migrant

Education Program?

- Have you or your parents worked at least 75 days in farm related activities?

- Do you qualify for federal financial aid (FAFSA)?

GPA of 3.40 on 4-point scale.

This scholarship is to assist outstanding students who plan to pursue a career focusing on agriculture and who exhibit leadership skills for active involvement in the agriculture sector.

Student must:

1.

Be a GA resident.

2.

Major in agriculture and environmental sciences, family and consumer sciences or a related agriculture field.

3.

Complete HS within a year of applying for the scholarship.

4.

Be engaged in leadership activities in HS.

5.

Plan to enroll in a unit of The University System of GA or

Berry college during 2016-17.

6.

Minimum of 3.0 GPA.

This scholarship is given to students who have proven themselves exceptional leaders in combating intolerance, prejudice, and injustice in their communities. Scholarships go to high school seniors in the US attending a four year college in the fall of 2016. Students must:

1.

Submit a 1,000 word persona essay

2.

2 supporting letters of recommendation that highlight their work in the community and exhibit their commitment to achieving lasting change.

3.

Must be submitted online by Feb. 19, 2016.

Must be a graduate from a high school in either

Forsyth or Dawson County.

The scholarship will be awarded to the applicant who best exemplifies Joe’s approach to Life.
