Dear Parents/Guardians:
The schedule for the 4th C.A.I.S. Basketball Invitational Tournament hosted by Ridley College in St.
Catharines, ON has just been posted and I think that we received a favourable draw. The tournament
will run from Thursday, November 19th through to Sunday, November 22nd and is a great opportunity to
play against some of the best basketball teams in the country. The charge for the tournament will be
approximately $1000.00 which includes all meals, transportation (by airplane and minivan) tournament
t-shirt and accommodations; this amount will be charged to your child’s account. The following girls will
be attending the tournament:

Regarding schoolwork – student-athletes are responsible for any missed work during their
absence from school. Please ensure that some schoolwork is taken along, for the trip and
for the evenings.
The team members are reminded that they are representing Rothesay Netherwood School
while at the tournament and will need to respect and abide by the rules of the school. The
expectation is that once a student commits to the varsity basketball team, they also commit to
attending the C.A.I.S. tournament. If you have any questions, or comments please feel free to
contact me or Coach Dykerman at any time.
What to Bring:
1. Passports – as we will travelling via airplane.
2. The team will travel in their RNS track suit to and from St. Catharines and during the
tournament – no ball caps except RNS ones.
3. In the evening, students may wear what they wish (no offensive or ripped clothing)
4. Team uniform, (including both jerseys and shorts and warm-up shirt), athletic socks and
basketball shoes
5. Outer jacket, rain jacket, extra sweatshirt, toque and gloves
6. Spare pair of casual shoes/sneakers/sandals or flip-flops to wear between games.
7. Water Bottle - mandatory
8. Any other Rothesay Netherwood School clothing
9. Personal toiletries - toothbrush, deodorant, razor, etc.
10. Medications in original packages with a letter from the parent – must be given to coaches
11. Wallet with government issued photo identification, health card, insurance policy numbers,
emergency phone numbers, medical information, calling card, etc.
12. Homework for the trip and evenings
