Get ready for the 1st Annual Saving Grace
Walk against Animal Abuse
Saturday, October 26
On Saturday, October 26th Leesville Road High School’s DECA chapter, in association with Saving Grace Animals for
Adoption, will hold the First Annual Saving Grace Walk against Animal Abuse. The event will consist of a 2 ½ mile walk
around Lake Lynn, a ½ mile senior dog walk, a silent auction, and a raffle. One hundred percent of the profits from the walk
go directly to Saving Grace Animals for Adoption.
Saving Grace is a non-profit, 501-C3 organization dedicated to helping homeless animals in our community find permanent,
loving homes where they will be treated as family members for the rest of their lives. Saving Grace has made over 5,000 trips
to rural shelters to rescue and give hope to dogs that might otherwise have been euthanized. This wonderful organization
also helps to stop puppy mills throughout North Carolina. Puppy Mills force dogs of all kinds to breed litter after litter in
appalling conditions. Dogs in Puppy Mills can be found in
exceptionally congested areas lying in their own waste, starving, ill,
and infected with parasites. Saving Grace is working hard to save the
lives of dogs everywhere and help those animals who seemed to have
no future, find the perfect home.
The goal of this walk is to raise money and awareness for Saving Grace
Animals for Adoption. In order for this to happen we need your help! By
attending this walk you will raise money and awareness for this
fantastic organization so that they can save the lives of even more
dogs. You will also receive a goody bag, t-shirt, and bandanna. Please

9:30 am: Walk around Lake Lynn begins (Starts at the Lake Lynn Community Center)

I understand that this walk could be potentially dangerous and I should not participate unless I’m medically able to do so. I agree to listen _
and respect the authority of those in charge and volunteers in order to ensure my safety and the safety for those around me. I take all risks _

involved in the walk including those with other participants, dogs, falls, traffic, weather and other risks involved with the event. I
understand that my dog must be updated on all shots and vaccines, including the rabies vaccine, as well as physically able to
participate in all events at the Saving Grace Walk against Animal Abuse. I understand and agree that my dog will be on a lease at all
times during the walk and auction. I also allow Saving Grace and LRHS DECA to use photographs of myself, my dog(s), and those
participating with or around me. I for myself and all entitled by this registration form release Saving Grace Animals for Adoption, City of
Raleigh, Lake Lynn Community Center, Lake Lynn community park, LRHS DECA, all sponsors, and those involved with the event from
claims or liabilities of any kind from my or those entitled by this waiver’s participation in the event.
