Plant Cell Model: Creating an Edible Cell
Materials Needed:
Bread
Jelly
Green Candy
Peanut Butter
Paper plates
Raisins
Plastic Spoons
Banana Slice
Spread the peanut butter on the bread slice. Add a drop of jelly, a banana slice, and scatter the
raisins and green candies on top. Each ingredient represents a part of a plant cell:
Bread-Cell Wall
Peanut Butter- Cytoplasm
Jelly-Vacuoles
Raisins- Mitochondria
Banana Slice- Nucleus
Green Candy-Chloroplasts
