TRE PTO Board Position Open for
2013-2014:
Corresponding Secretary - responsible for
creating and distributing newsletters, sending
correspondence to parents and updating bulletin
boards at TRE.
If interested in filling the board seat or have more

Poinsettia Sale: Help add technology to the
classrooms at TRE:
TRE Poinsettia Sale Kickoff was 11/1. If each
student sells just 2 plants, TRE will earn $4,000
towards technology in the classrooms! All order
forms and money must be turned in by 11/15.
Poinsettia pick up is on 11/25 from 6 to 8 pm in
the TRE Cafeteria. Contact Aimee Peck

Be sure to clip Box Tops off your favorite food
items and office supplies and turn them in by
the front entrance. Be sure to put student's
name on the outside of the plastic bag along
with classroom teacher’s name.
Fill up your box top collection sheet by
November 26 to be entered into a school
drawing.
Holiday Event at TRE:
Volunteers are needed for Secret Santa Shop.

Winter Break
Parents and students, Mrs. Spence-Thomas’
third grade class is doing a Penny Harvest.
The students will be researching issues that
are concerning to them. Then they will be
interviewing non-profit organizations to see
where the money would be most beneficial.
Her students would like to ask you to send in
spare change (pennies, nickels, dimes and
quarters) to help with their service learning
project. They will begin collecting change
November 1 and stop collecting December 3.
Please remember EVERY coin can make a
difference! Thank you in advance for your
donations.
Spirit Wear Items: Water bottles, pencils,
tattoos and magnets are available for sale
throughout the school year. For an order form
just visit Taylor Road web site.
Volunteers are Needed: We need volunteers on
Tuesday, December 17th from 5:00pm - 6:00pm to
help sort and pack orders.

Walk A Thon:
The Tracks for Taylor Road Walk-a-Thon was a huge
success this year! Thank you to all the TRE families for
their support as well as all of our community sponsors!
Watch your child’s backpack for a packet that will be
coming home recapping our amazing day as well
recognizing our sponsors and contributors and even some
coupons. Ripple’s Racers raised the most money and was
closely followed by S-T’s Rock Star Racers in 2nd place and
in 3rd place was the Galloping Gibsons.
The top fundraiser was Aaron S. (Mrs. S-T’s class) and he
received a bike and prize bag. The 2nd place student was
Caitlin D. (Mrs. S-T’s class) and there was a tie for 3rd place
between Olivia D. and Mason S. (Mrs. Ripple’s Class). The
2nd and 3rd place fundraisers also received prize bags.
Again a huge thank you to everyone!
