CREATE YOUR DATA TABLES: Remember you only need data on the amount of carbon dioxide in the
atmosphere (use the first number… not the ppm)
HINT: Use the same numbers (% and GT) and same years to gather data on for each investigation.
Only test one variable at a time (other should be set at 0).
Testing Hypothesis 1: Deforestation has a greater impact on atmospheric carbon dioxide.
(Fossil Fuels should be set at 0)
Testing Hypothesis 2: Burning Fossil Fuels has a greater impact on atmospheric carbon dioxide.
(Deforestation should be set at 0)
Graph the results of each investigation on a different side of the graph paper. Make sure to title each
graph and label the X and Y axis. Using different colors and a key is very helpful!

Analyze and Draw a Conclusion: Write a detailed summary of your findings and why/how deforestation
and/or the burning of fossil fuels impacts our atmosphere as well as a prediction on how future use of
deforestation and fossil fuels can impact us.
