Introduction
The abstract should emphasize what is new and important. Abstract length can be either one
or two pages, but one page is preferred. Please follow the format and style as used and
described in this template, dividing the abstract in the sections: introduction, results and
discussion, conclusion, and references.
Results and Discussion
Section headings (Introduction, etc.) are in bold as indicated, followed on the next line by
abstract text (Arial, 11 points) justified at two sides with 1 inch margins; paragraphs are not
indented, only separated by one blank line. References should be indicated in the text in square
brackets and listed at the end of the paper [1-3]. Figures should be placed preceding the
reference list. Please condense to 1 page if possible.
Conclusion
Abstracts must preferably arrive by August 1, 2016. The submission of an electronic version of
an abstract in a Microsoft Word document is to be entirely via email to NanoDDS16@jhmi.edu
as an attachment.
