Renfrew Victoria Hospital, a progressive community hospital located in the heart of the Ottawa Valley is
seeking to fill the following positions:
NURSE MANAGER, CONTINUING CARE/CORPORATE EDUCATOR (Permanent, Full Time))
.
Reporting to the Vice President of Patient Care Services and working as an integral member of the nurse management
team, the Nurse Manager, Continuing Care, is accountable for all aspects of patient care within the 24-bed unit, and
leads the Senior Friendly hospital initiative. The Corporate Educator is responsible for coordinating, planning and
implementing education for nursing and allied health departments, along with development of evidence-based practice
standards. The ideal candidate possesses a current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario, a
Master’s degree in Nursing or related field, and a combination of clinical and managerial experience. He/she can
competently prepare and assess financial documentation; manage human and material resources; develop programs,
policies and procedures; and ensure high quality care to patients. His/her management style emphasizes commitment,
caring and innovation. He/she must be a clinically strong in geriatrics, compassionate leader with exceptional
interpersonal and communications skills, comfortable working in a multidisciplinary team environment.
NURSING COORDINATOR (Casual)
.
The Nursing Coordinator is responsible for the supervision of patient care as well as coordination to ensure proper
staffing and utilization of hospital beds. He/she acts as resource for all departments, and functions in a leadership role
after-hours. The successful incumbent will possess a current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of
Ontario, ACLS certification, broad clinical skills and experience, and excellent communication, leadership and
organizational skills. Experience working in a unionized environment will be considered a strong asset.
REGISTERED NURSES (Casual & Part Time)
Registered Nurses are required for positions in our Special Care, Operating Room, Emergency Department and Dialysis
Unit. Applicants must possess required skills, experience and certifications to work in these specialty areas.
PHARMACY ASSISTANT (Casual)
Reporting to the Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Assistant carries out technical aspects of drug distribution and day-to-day
operation of the Pharmacy department according to established policies and procedures. The successful candidate will be
registered as a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the Ontario college of Pharmacists or a have a diploma in a recognized
Pharmacy Assistant program. Good knowledge of computer operations, aseptic technique, and purchasing and
inventory/supply management is strongly preferred. A high level of decision-making skills, communication and
interpersonal skills are required. Demonstrated experience working in a team with other professional staff coupled with an
ability to provide patient-oriented services is an asset.
PHYSIOTHERAPIST (Casual/Temporary Part Time)
Applicants must be licensed to practice physiotherapy in the Province of Ontario, registered with the Ontario College of
Physiotherapists.
PHYSIOTHERAPIST (Casual/Temporary Part Time)
Completion of a recognized Physiotherapy Assistant Program is required. Applicants should have excellent organization and
communication skills.
