
Successful Plant and Book Sale-Last Friday saw kids gathering books to read over spring break, and
kids and adults alike selecting plants to beautify their gardens. It was a fun event for all, and raised
almost $700 toward the library and the 4th grade field trip. Thanks to all who came out and
supported the event, as well as those who helped put it on: Randy and Kara of Dreamscapes for
supplies, donations, and set-up/clean-up, Donna Ely for supplying used books, Jody Weber and Katelyn
Shahbazian for setting up the book sale, and two local nurseries who donated plants, Cottage Garden
Growers and Landscapes Unlimited. Thanks also to Maralyn Riedel for printing posters. And, of
course, a tremendous thank you to our event organizer, Lamar Shahbazian.

To Ponder…
If we had no winter, the spring would not be so
pleasant; if we did not sometimes taste of
adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome.
