Suggested Materials to Donate
Below are some suggested materials to donate as we begin to prepare for the
upcoming “Cardboard Challenge” to be held in mid-October. Look to see what
you have lying around the house or ask neighbors and businesses to donate
scraps and materials. Re-use and recycle whatever you can. If we ALL start
collecting early, you’ll be surprised by how many items we can collect for free.
Any type of cardboard
Cardboard boxes (small, medium, large)
Cereal boxes
Shoeboxes
Empty containers - berry boxes, mushroom containers, etc.
Empty plastic bottles and bottle caps
Egg cartons
Milk cartons (rinsed and clean)
Paper towel & toilet paper tubes
Old fabric, pillowcases, or clothes cut into scraps
Office Supply / 99 Cent / Arts and Crafts Store
Clear packing tape
Clear Scotch tape w/dispensers
Tempera paint
Paintbrushes
Yarn
Heavy-duty scissors
Box cutters (for teacher to assist students with cutting)
Assorted paper
Staplers
Brown paper bags
Bottles of glue and tacky glue
Duct tape
