Parents,
Now that the 2012-2013 basketball team has been finalized, the board would like to review and update
a few of the topics discussed at the parent meeting.
1. Team shoes: As Coach Bonnaure stated, the seniors picked the Adidas Crazy Lite 2, white with
black trim. Unfortunately, Tim Relihan’s contact could not get that particular shoe. A couple
players went to Dick’s to try on the shoe and found they needed a larger size than the one they
gave to Coach. Therefore it was decided the parents will be responsible for purchasing the
shoes. We have found a number of ways you could do this.
 Champs Sports on-line currently has them listed at $99.99. Cut and paste into browser.

You can get free shipping to the South Hills Village store.
 Dick’s have the shoes for $120. They will price match from Champs website for $99.99.
They also have a program if they don’t have your size they will deliver free to your
house.
 Eastbay has the shoes listed for $124.99. They have a code that will take the price to
$99.99 that is good until midnight Monday November 26th. Free shipping to your house.

2. Concession Stand & 50/50 raffle: Jamie Sharp has volunteered to lead the concession stand and
Jerry O’Rourke volunteered to lead the 50/50 raffles. The board has created a Google doc
spreadsheet for signing up. We need 2 varsity parents to work the concession stand during the
JV games, and 2 JV parents to work the concession stand during varsity games. The parents
working the JV game will be responsible for opening the stand, duties to be determined. The
parents working the varsity game will be responsible for closing the stand, duties to be
determined. We are also asking for hot food donations. Each game we need 2 lbs of taco meat
and shredded lettuce for walking tacos. We are also asking for another hot food, volunteer’s
choice. If sausage or meatballs, please supply buns also.
We also need a varsity parent to work 50/50 for the JV game and a JV parent to work the varsity
game.
With 9 home games, we will need each family to sign up for 3 volunteer slots, concession and or
50/50 slots. We will also need each family to donate either one taco meat or one hot food.
To sign up for slots on a first come first serve basis, please go to www.docs.google.com Sign in

3. Program Sales: Brian McKee has volunteered to lead the program and program sales. Each
family will be responsible for soliciting local businesses for ads in our yearly program. As in
previous years, a full page ad will be a donation of $100, half page $50 and a quarter page $25.
Please forward all ad sales to Brian.
4. Shoe re-imbursement: As discussed, the board will offset the cost of the team shoe by $30.
Since the parents are purchasing the shoes on their own, the board will reimburse the parent of
each player $30 upon completion of their assigned concession/50/50 volunteer slots.
5. Super Bowl Pool: Steve Berkovitz has volunteered to run this again. Details to follow.
6. Website: Derek Vent is currently working on a website for the team. Information to follow.
