Regarding funds requested from NWO (see also section 3.1 and 3.2 of the Call for Proposals):
The total funds that can be requested from NWO is EUR 500.000.
Personnel costs

In calculating the costs for PhDs and/or postdocs you must use the salary table provided on the
NWO website.
Co-funding by external partners

For Fundamental research projects there is a co-financing requirement of at least 15%
contribution from private partners, of which half cash and the other part in-kind.

For Industrial Research (Applied) projects there is a co-financing requirement of at least 50%
contribution from private partners, of which half cash and the other part in-kind.

The co-financing is added to the grant to be applied for from NWO and should be included in the
budget.

The figures mentioned in this table must correspond with those mentioned in the letters of
commitment.
Research costs & Bench fee

No budget can be requested for expenses covered by the bench fee.

Management of the project consortium, for example a (non-academic) process manager, up to
5% of the NWO grant.
