On Saturday May 28 th 2016, the eighth edition of the Museumnacht Leiden (MuseumNight
Leiden) will take place. Inspired by their exhibitions, the nine participating museums set up a spectacular program exclusively for this night. Also, the whole city center will be illuminated in an extraordinary way, which enables visitors to view culture in a different light. For the eighth time in a row Museumnacht Leiden combines culture and entertainment in an exciting way. Visitors experience an memorable evening whereby both the museums and the streets are filled with countless vivacious activities, workshops and lectures that are built around this year’s theme Mystery. Visitors are guided during their discovery of all the cultural sights by a remarkable light route, the Nightpath.

Museumnacht Leiden is organized by Stichting Museumnacht Leiden. A team of thirteen students of the A.L.S.V. Quintus work together closely with the museums of Leiden. On the evening of May 28 th 2016 Hortus botanicus Leiden, Rijksmuseum van Oudheden, Oude
Sterrewacht, Museum Volkenkunde, Japanmuseum SieboldHuis, Molenmuseum De Valk,
Erfgoed Leiden en Omstreken, CORPUS ‘journey through the human body’ (at Scheltema) and Naturalis (at the Academy Building) will open their doors.
