Working with fruit flies, I was responsible for conducting growth experiments of both wild-type
and mutant strains of fruit flies that were kept in both normoxic and hypoxic conditions.
I was responsible for gathering pupae, weighing pupae, as well as weighing adults.
I was also responsible for recording all of my data via hardcopy (lab notebook) and Microsoft
Excel.
Any other lab duties entry level lab duties were performed by me, at times, under the
supervision of Dr. Callier.

With my first unit, I was responsible for providing basic level maintenance (oil changes, glow
plug changes, ETC) on military vehicles. I was also responsible for ordering parts and “leasing”
vehicles out of the motor pool during annual training.
With my second unit, I was responsible for most day-to-day tasks that were required to be done
during battle assemblies, as well as the five months that I worked there on a regular basis. I was
given a team ranging for four to eight soldiers that were under my command.
