Welcome to the Employee Referral page, below you will find a list of the most frequently asked
questions (FAQs), as well as to the right under the Quick links section you can find the MedImmune
Employee Referral Eligibility Policy and Quick Guide on how to submit a referral.
How do I submit an employee referral?
 Step 1: Ensure you and your candidate meet the referral eligibility requirements by visiting the
MedImmune MedImmune Employee Referral Eligibility Policy. Note: Referrals not meeting the
requirements will not be eligible for payment


How much can I earn for one referral?
To reward our employees for their participation, we offer the following bonuses* if your eligible
referral is hired at MedImmune:

Associate Director and above: $6,000 (or local equivalent)
 All Other Positions: $3,000 (or local equivalent)
*The referral bonus is paid through the payroll system, and payments are subject to payroll taxes.
Who is eligible for a referral bonus?
To ensure your referral is eligible please review the MedImmune Employee Referral Eligibility Policy.
How many times can I submit a referral?
Employees may refer an unlimited number of candidates to various MedImmune career opportunities.
However once a candidate is submitted, the employee need not submit that employee again.
Candidates are tied to their referral source for a period of 12 months, no matter the number of
positions for which that candidate applies.
How do I check the status of a submitted referral?
Remember to review the MedImmune Employee Referral Eligibility Policy to ensure you and your
referred candidate meet the referral eligibility. Once your referral is submitted you will receive two
confirmation e-mails which you should retain for your records (please review the MedImmune Quick
Guide: Employee Referrals Process – US). We are unable to view individual referrals until they become
eligible for reward, which happens automatically once eligibility is met.
How long do I have to submit a referral for a candidate that already applied?
Employees can submit a candidate through the online portal as a referral no later than 14 calendar
days from the time the candidate submits their original application. Please review the MedImmune
Quick Guide: Employee Referrals Process – US for more details.
After I submitted my friend, I received a message stating they were already in the system, am I still
eligible for the referral?
Eligibility of the referral reward is validated two to three pay period after 90 days from the candidate's
hire date. To see a list of determining factors and determine if you/your candidate meet referral
eligibility, please review the MedImmune Employee Referral Eligibility Policy.
How do I check to see if my candidate is already in the applicant pool?
The easiest way to determine if your candidate is already in the MedImmune applicant pool is to ask
them if they applied to MedImmune directly, or have been referred by an agency, or another
MedImmune employee at any time during the last 12 months. Remember that referrals are on a first
come first serve basis, and candidate information remains tied to their referral source for a 12 month
period. Please refer back to the MedImmune Employee Referral Eligibility Policy for more information.
My candidate said that they did not apply directly and were not referred by an agency or another
MedImmune employee in the last 12 month, how do I get credit for the referral?
Ensure that you submit the candidate through the online portal as listed on the MedImmune Quick
Guide: Employee Referrals Process – US. However keep in mind that we are unable to validate referral
eligibility until the candidate passes 90 days from their hire date due to several determining factors
(please review the MedImmune Employee Referral Eligibility Policy for more details). Once your
candidate passes 90 days from their hire date, feel free to send an e-mail to the below help desk.
I gave my friend’s resume directly to the hiring manager of the open requisition, how do I get credit
for the referral?
To ensure MedImmune remains compliant with various federal & state regulations, such as SarbanesOxley (SOX) all referrals must be submitted through the online portal. Referrals submitted outside of
the online process are not eligible for payment. Please review the MedImmune Quick Guide:

I submitted my referral but I did not receive a confirmation e-mail, how can I check to see if my
referral went through?
Once you submit a referral, your candidate receives an e-mail (at the e-mail address which you
provided) asking them to confirm the referral and complete the MedImmune application. The e-mail is
sent automatically within a few minutes from referral submittal. Please Note: If you submitted your
candidate after they have directly applied to MedImmune, the candidate will not receive this e-mail
confirmation as they are already in the MedImmune applicant pool. If your candidate did not apply
directly prior to you submitting them as a referral, and they did not receive the confirmation e-mail,
you may follow up after 90 days from the candidate's hire date. REMEMBER: The MedImmune
Employee Referral Program is based on employee action, not candidate action. This means that
employees must ensure they follow the steps outlined under the MedImmune Quick Guide: Employee
Referrals Process – US & MedImmune Employee Referral Eligibility Policy to earn a referral bonus.
I no longer have the e-mail I received when I submitted my candidate, can a new one be sent to me
for my records?
Unfortunately, the e-mails are system auto-generated which are triggered upon submittal of the
candidate into a posting; therefore, there is not a way to resend the e-mails. The best way to confirm
you qualify for the referral reward is to ensure you and the candidate meet the eligibility requirements
as stated in the MedImmune Employee Referral Eligibility Policy.
I submitted my candidate online as per the QuickGuide, and received the initial e-mail as it stated.
My candidate just called to tell me they accepted the MedImmune offer, do I have to take any other
further action to ensure I receive the referral reward?
The MedImmune Employee Referral program is easier than you may think. The only required actions
from the MedImmune employee is to 1st determine eligibility of them/candidate (see MedImmune
Employee Referral Eligibility Policy); and 2nd to submit the referral online (see MedImmune Quick
Guide: Employee Referrals Process – US). No further action is required from the MedImmune
employee or candidate. See more information under payment disbursement for details on that
process.
When should I expect payment for my referral?
Validation of the referral eligibility concludes after 90 days from the candidate's hire date. Payment of
the referral reward is made within two to three pay periods in one part after the 90 day validation
period. For each payout once eligibility is met, details of the disbursement will be sent to the referring
employee along with the anticipated payout date. The referral bonus is paid through the payroll
system, and payments are subject to payroll taxes. Please Note: Details will not be sent if eligibility is
not met.
